Planning a trip to Vegas can be overwhelming, especially when looking for the perfect place to stay. There are SO many options. Vegas is known for its extravagant hotels and finding one that suits you best can take a lot of work.
Lucky for you, I’ve compiled a breakdown of some of the best places to stay in Vegas on the strip that will fit any budget.

Best Places to Stay in Vegas on the Strip – Luxury $$$
Looking to spoil yourself for the ultimate Vegas getaway? Here are some of the swankiest hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Bellagio Hotel on the Vegas strip is one of my personal favorites. A hotel covered in flowers makes for a beautiful and calming place to stay in the midst of a crazy city. The hotel theme comes from the town of Bellagio, a small town in Italy famous for its beautiful gardens.
Of course, Caesar’s Palace is one of the most classic hotels in all of Vegas! This iconic Roman-themed hotel takes up a large chunk of the Vegas strip with its elaborate staircases and 5 massive towers.
The Cosmopolitan hotel is one of the newest hotels on the Vegas strip, making a big name for itself with its sleek and stylish architecture. If you’re wanting to experience a new modern twist on Vegas, this is the place to stay.
Best Places to Stay in Vegas on the Strip – Moderate $$
Going to Vegas doesn’t mean you have to stay in the most expensive hotel to spoil yourself. Some of the coolest themed hotels and most popular amongst vacationers are more moderately priced. Here are some of the best places to stay on the Vegas strip for a moderate budget.
Who says you have to be in Italy to be in Venice? The Venetian is truly a showstopper of a resort. With its flashy gondola rides, stunning architecture, and arched bridges – this hotel will give you an enchanting experience in Vegas.
The Paris Las Vegas Resort is one of the most exciting resorts to walk through. Dedicated to its true theme, it features beautiful decor and even its own version of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

The Seven Magic Mountains are an art installation located in the Nevada desert, just a short 25-minute drive from the Vegas strip.

Seven Magic Mountains were created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. These seven colorful boulders are a creative expression of humans in the desert – bright and colorful in a desolate background.
Constructed in 2016, the temporary installation was only supposed to last for two years but has been extended due to its popularity.
Seven Magic Mountains – Location
The exact address for the 7 magic mountains is S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054. It is less than a half-hour drive from the Vegas strip and right off the highway, you can’t miss it!

Best Time to Visit
You can really visit this unique art installation any time of year.
Summer months will likely bring in thousands of tourists so try to visit during the off-season. If you do visit during peak travel times, arrive early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Something I didn’t think about during my visit was the DUST and WIND. You will be very dirty after leaving, so make sure you are prepared and don’t have to attend a fancy dinner afterward. You’ll want to go back to your hotel and wash up before doing anything else.
The Seven Magic Mountains were scheduled to be taken down at the end of 2021, but due to the mass popularity, it’s extended until 2026!

What to Bring to the Seven Magic Mountains
While the 7 Magic Mountains are just a short drive away from the Vegas strip, you will want to be prepared and bring just a few things.
Here is everything you need for the seven magic mountains:
A cute outfit. Wear neutral colors to contrast the bright boulders.
Water bottle.
Shoes that clean easily.
A good camera/phone.
Hairbrush.
Sunglasses.
Wet Wipes (to clean the dirt off you!)
Best Photo Spots
Photos are a must! Obviously, the beautiful boulders make for a great background.
If you are willing to take a few steps away from the boulders, you can get an epic desert backdrop.
You can also rent a classic car to do a desert photo shoot.

Valley of Fire State Park is a MUST SEE during your time in Nevada.
The name “Valley of Fire” came from from the bold red sandstone formations that formed from sand dunes 150 million years ago.

If you’re taking a trip to Vegas, this stunning Nevada state park is only about a 45 minute drive from the strip and makes for the perfect day trip out of the city. The drive is so scenic, it goes by quick!
When planning our day trip to the Valley of Fire, it’s really up to you to decide how long you’d like to spend.
We went for a half a day (about 4 hours) and found that was a good amount of time to explore the state park by car and take some photos. However, if you’d like to hike the trails you will need a full day to do this.
Valley of Fire entrance fees
The entrance fees to the park are $10 for Nevada state vehicles and $15 for out of state. Camping fees vary $20-$30 depending on vehicle and utility hookups. Bike fees are just $2.
What to bring
You’ll definitely want to bring a good pair of shoes, water, and a camera! There is a gift shop and info center on location with beverages, snacks, maps, and general help navigating the area.

So you’re taking a trip to SIN CITY?
Planning an unforgettable trip to Vegas can be overwhelming! That’s why I’ve created the perfect 5-day itinerary to Las Vegas to help guide you.
Here’s a FREE Las Vegas printable checklist to take on your trip so you don’t miss a thing!
Day 1 – Check into your hotel and relax at the pool. Visit Fremont Street and have dinner at Nacho Daddy.
Day 2 – Breakfast at the Henry at the Cosmopolitan. Explore the Cosmo & Paris Hotels. Rent a car for 24 hours and go to the 7 Magic Mountains. Dinner at Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar.
Day 3 – Leave early for the Las Vegas sign and the Valley of Fire State Park. Drive back to the Vegas strip and tour the Neon Museum.
Day 4 – Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi, Bellagio Gardens. Pool Day. Explore the Venetian. Dinner at Black Tap. Gondola ride. Bellagio Fountain show.
Day 5- Enjoy your last day in Vegas and off to the airport.

You’ll be tired after a day of traveling, so take some time to check into your hotel and get settled.
After you unpack and locate the pool, get ready for your big night out to Fremont Street! Nacho Daddy is the perfect affordable and delicious spot to enjoy your first dinner in Vegas.
Day 2
Start your day off right with an incredible breakfast at The Henry located in the Cosmopolitan hotel. Afterward, walk around and explore the Cosmo and the Paris hotel.
In the afternoon, consider renting a car for 24 hours and drive off to see the 7 Magic Mountains art installation, located just 25 minutes from the strip.
Today you will need to get started bright and early! Leave your hotel no later than 9 am and head straight to the Vegas sign. Any later than 9:30 am, you will have to wait hours to get your photo in front of the sign.
Next, hit the road to the Valley of Fire State Park. It’s about 1.5 hour drive, but it is so beautiful, it goes by quickly.
It’s been a long day, but the fun isn’t over yet! Head back from the Valley of Fire to the Vegas strip and tour the Neon Museum. It only takes about a half-hour and it’s SO worth it!
Day 4
It’s your last full day in Vegas so make sure you have checked all the boxes of what you wanted to do.
Start your day with brunch at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Hotel. This was my favorite brunch that I had in all of Vegas.
Explore the Bellagio gardens inside the Bellagio hotel. This is a beautiful sight to see and you won’t want to miss it! The gardens change every SEASON and it’s basically like a gorgeous art installation made with flowers. This is a must-do and it’s FREE.
After you’ve had time to walk the Las Vegas strip and enjoy some time at the pool, it’s time to go to the Venetian Hotel for dinner at Black Tap and a gondola ride through the canals.
It’s been a long day, but you can’t visit Vegas without seeing the Bellagio Fountains! The show runs frequently and only lasts a few minutes. You can find the schedule here.
Day 5
Time to leave Vegas! If you have a late flight, relax from your busy trip by the pool with a cocktail until it’s time to leave.
That concludes a jam-packed 5 day itinerary to Las Vegas!
This was my personal itinerary for my first trip to Vegas and I had a blast. However, feel free to adjust it to fit your interests. Enjoy your time in Sin City!
