Caveland in Santorini is definitely one of the most unique hostel experiences I’ve ever had! This stunning hostel that was once a winery in the 18th century, has been featured on many lists for one of the Coolest Hostels in the World.

This was one of the first photos I took on my first big backpacking trip and I look like such a derpy and excited tourist 😂 (because I totally was!)

London was my first stop on a nearly 4-month long backpacking trip around Europe.

I loved it but I was honestly SO overwhelmed that I ended up spending quite a lot of time in my hostel room and didn’t venture out as much. I wasn’t the seasoned traveler that I am now, and would love to go back and give it a proper tour.

I desperately wish I would have done more research and read more blog posts & guides of London before visiting. Let me know if you have any recommendations for your favorite spots in London - restaurants, coffee shops, must sees, etc!

Beach or Pool? You can’t say both, you HAVE to choose 1!!

While I absolutely love the thought of sitting on a beautiful sandy beach listening to the sea, that dream only lives in my head. To be honest, I absolutely hate feeling dirty. All I ever think about when I’m on a beach is how itchy and dirty I feel with sand caked on me. I can’t chill out about it! I do however love a good rocky beach where there isn’t any sand, that’s definitely more my style. Overall though, I think I am more of a pool kind of gal. It’s lower maintenance and more relaxing to me! I am curious if I’m in the minority on this though... let me know in the comments if you prefer the beach or the pool! 👇🏼

Can you guess where I’m standing? On top of a volcano! I had no idea that Santorini had a volcano until I took a day to explore it.

When I was hiking the Santorini Volcano, a tourist in my group actually fell (trying to take a selfie 🙄) and she nearly slid seconds away into some lava. It was only a few drips of lava and she likely would have been fine, but it would have definitely left a scar! Luckily her boyfriend grabbed her arm and pulled her back 😅

One of my favorite things about traveling is finding unique things in the world - whether it be abandoned hotels, quirky themed cafés, or funny sculptures.

For my first Weird Wednesday, I decided to begin this series starting with my hometown - Springfield, Missouri. This is the Missouri Hotel, which has worn many hats since it was built in early 1930. From a hotel to an office building to a soup kitchen, now totally abandoned.

Do you find abandoned things totally interesting like I do? I’ve always been obsessed!

This photo is taken at Aït Benhaddou which is a @unesco World Heritage site along the route from the Sahara to Marrakech. This city is believed to have been built around the 11th century and is a great example of Moroccan Earthen Clay Architecture. If you book a Sahara Desert Tour, you’ll likely stop here along the way!

Did you make any New Years Resoultions for 2021? I know they can be so cliché and can even be mentally exhausting if you come up with unachievable goals. I tried to focus on just coming up with smaller goals for this year. Here are a few of mine:
✨Drink hot lemon water in the mornings.
✨Light workouts x3 week.
✨Write a blog post every week.

People often ask me that question and my answer is Budapest! While I would love to live on a dreamy island or in the mountains, it’s just not practical for me long term. Budapest is somewhere I would *realistically* love to relocate to. It’s thriving with nightlife, has delicious food, the culture is amazing, and it’s pretty affordable! I could totally see me living in this beautiful city. Let me know where you would live, if you could move anywhere in the world 🌍 ✈️
